I will not be cold again!

After yesterday's hellish ride, I went to REI today and bought hand/feet warmers and a pair of lobster gloves. I'm still scared from yesterday's ride.

About Me

Jerry: Washington, DC, United States; I’m now 42 and my journey continues. I’ve done 10 marathons, 2 Ironmans and several road and tri races in between. So, what’s next? It’s all about balance as I want to spend more and more time with my wife and 19 month old son. It takes too much time to go out for biking or to the pool for a swim but running – heck, just lace up the shoes and go out the front door during my son’s nap and I can get all kinds of miles in. I read Born to Run twice in 2010, once wasn’t enough and I’m ready to read it again. I am amazed at how people can go much much further then 26.2. How far can I go? I always ask myself what is next so I signed up for my first ultra - The Hat Run which is a 50K (31miles) in March. Hence, this is my story of training for my first of what I hope are many ultras.
